We are motivated to ensure staff, students and parents are not left behind in the fast moving world we live in today. By channelling our own creativity and blending it with enquiry-based learning we bring out the best in all members of the alliance.

Aspire Teaching Trust is our accredited Teaching School Alliance. It is also part of our Multi-Academy Trust, however membership of the Teaching School Alliance is open to all. We are passionate about supporting leaders of the future and leadership at every level. The opportunities for training, leadership and development offered with Aspire Teaching Trust are available to everyone – not just those who are part of Aspire Academy Trust. The Aim of Cornwall Teaching School is to generate and maintain a sustainable model for developing teachers and leaders and to secure outstanding practice in all phases of learning. The work of Cornwall Teaching School encompasses all the Big 6 areas identified by the National College. These have been distilled into 4 key areas of activity.

The Cornwall Teaching Schools Together is a group of 8 Teaching Schools based in Cornwall. The group work together to meet the identified needs for School Improvement in the county. Recently we were successful with our application to become an Associate Research school and colleagues work with the CTST to ensure that we take an evidence based approach to our provision.
We work alongside the Cornwall Standards Board, English & Maths Hubs and other partners to ensure that we have a joined up approach to the delivery of CPD & School Improvement support in Cornwall.

The Devon Teaching School Partnership is an alliance of 47 primary and special schools in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay Local Authority areas. The alliance has formed through the excellent track record of initial teacher training via the Devon Primary School Centered Initial Teaching Training (DPSCITT) which is led and governed by the schools. Our partnership has 2 lead Teaching schools (Newport Primary Academy and Elburton Primary) and has a mixed economy of schools; we have academies, academy chains, federations, church and community schools. The rural nature of Devon with its sparse population and market towns gives the partnership a focus to improve leadership, develop the next generation of leaders and to ensure that children are taught by outstanding teachers.> Find Out More

The Exeter Consortium is a growing group of schools in and around Exeter, all working to improve the quality of learning for our pupils.
Working in partnership, Exeter Consortium and Exeter Teaching School Alliance are training the next generation of teachers, improving the quality of teaching, raising the attainment of pupils and closing the gap between different groups of pupils. We provide challenge and support to each other to improve our schools as well as a wide range of professional development opportunities. Our partnership also organises supply teachers through Exeter Supply Partnership as well as networking for staff at all levels.

The Kernow English Hub at Trenance Learning Academy is one of 32 schools across England appointed by the DfE to take a leading role in supporting schools in the teaching of early reading, closing the word gap and promoting a love of reading. North Devon Teaching School Alliance is a cross-phase alliance currently consisting of 22 schools age ranging from 2 to 18yrs. We have an Academy, Federations and Church schools with Plymouth and Exeter University and the Local Authority as strategic partners. A full list can be found on our partners’ page. We concentrate on raising standards and our aim is to make every school ‘Outstanding’.

The Peninsula Teaching School Partnership was designated in September 2011 as one of the first 100 Teaching Schools across England, the first in Cornwall and at that time one of only four in the South West. Led from Penrice Academy within the Peninsula Learning Trust MAT, the Peninsula Teaching School Partnership (PTSP) brings together Schools from across Cornwall.
From the beginning, the aim of the Teaching School has been to be inclusive, to develop new leaders, provide high levels of school to school support and develop a highly effective CPLD model year on year. > Find Out More

The Plymouth Teaching School Alliance (PTSA) is an inclusive teaching school serving the schools of Plymouth and the region. The PTSA benefits from a mature ‘blended’ model of delivery alongside Plymouth Local Authority and Plymouth Learning Partnership Community Interest Company (PLPCIC). The two lead schools are High View Primary, and Prince Rock (Learning Academies Trust).
The PTSA is committed to serving the needs of the city’s schools, and delivering in all the ‘Big 6’: school improvement (S2S), CPD, ITE, Leadership development, Lead educators and Research. The Primary Excellence Teaching School, led by the First Federation Trust , is an alliance of aspirational primary schools and academies across Devon. Ventrus Teaching School Alliance is made up of 14 primary schools and 1 secondary within a Multi Academy Trust and a number of wider partner schools right across Devon. We have close links with University of Worcester. University of Exeter as well as other Teaching School Alliances across the South West.

The West Country Teaching School Alliance (WCTSA) is a vibrant and diverse partnership of schools working across Devon and Somerset to create a sustainable and powerful system for school improvement. The Alliance, which is led by Uffculme School, is an inclusive, cross-phase Alliance fostering excellence in education from Primary to Post -16. The strength of the Alliance lies not only in its combined expertise, but also in its commitment to provide a world class education for all; holding the core values of trust, openness and a commitment to lifelong learning at the heart of all we do.

Parc Eglos was granted Teaching School status in 2014. This followed many years of building links with other schools, including working in partnership with the Southerly Point Co-operative MAT. We have created a partnership alongside our Strategic Partners, The Learning Institute South West, who help with the delivery of particular aspects of the Teaching School framework.
